Sales Policy & Agreement

A non-refundable deposit of $100 will reserve the kid of your choice from the breeding schedule. Once kids are born, buyers will have 48 hours to submit payment equal to 1/2 the total price of kid to hold your goat(s). Failure to do so will result in your turn to purchase said kid to be skipped. Failure to respond within 1 week of notification will result in your deposit being forfeit. 

Kids must be picked up by 8 weeks of age. We charge an additional boarding fee of $5 per day, each day past 8 weeks (due at pickup, along with balance owed on kid). If kid is not picked up by 12 weeks of age,  the sale will be canceled and the kid will then be relisted for sale, and the deposit paid will not be refunded.

Weaned Kids (12+weeks) and Older - A non-refundable deposit of 1/2 half the sales price will hold all animals age 12 weeks and older for up to 2 weeks (14 days), at which time the animal must be picked up or the buyer will be charged a daily boarding fee of $5 per day (due at pickup with balance owed on goat).  If goat has not been picked up after 30 days, the sale will be canceled and the goat will then be relisted for sale, and deposit will not be refunded.

The prices on the breeding schedule are for pre-ordered kids and may be subject to change on those that are not pre-ordered. In the event that your kid is not born or dies, the deposit can be transferred, held over to the following year, or refunded. We accept: Paypal (friends & family), Venmo , Zelle, and cash. 

HEALTH GUARANTEE: We guarantee the health of your kid/goat as it leaves our property. It will leave tatooed (wethers excluded) current on vaccinations and coccidia prevention,  disbudded, (unless other arrangements are made), and hooves trimmed. Wethers will be banded, at no additional cost. Once your kid leaves our property, we are no longer responsible for its health, and refunds will only be issued with signed statement from a veterinarian, for up to 48 hours of leaving our property, stating that death or illness is in fact the result of a genetic condition and not the result of herd health management.

  • CDT vaccine given to dam 1 month before kidding and to kids at 5 weeks, and again at 8 weeks.

  • Cocci preventative given to kids at 3 and 6 weeks. 

  • We practice a hybrid method of kid rearing. Kids remain with their dam, but are also trained to take the bottle. Kids are socialized and loved on to ensure they will be friendly and agreeable to being handled by their new owners.

  • All kids are disbudded by 5-7 days old, unless other arrangements are made prior.

  • All bucks and doe kids will be sold with MDGA registration at Arrowood Lane expense for buyers with a current MDGA membership. Otherwise, paper applications will be provided at the time of sale and all fees are the buyer's responsibility.

  • Kid names are subject to approval and must fall within our annual name theme.

  • Banding is included for pet/wether boys at 10 weeks.

  • We do not sell unregistered bucks at a discounted price.

First right of refusal

We ask that if in the future, should you decide for any reason to sell or rehome a goat purchased from us, that you please contact us first, and give us the option to purchase the goat back at fair market value.

We test annually for common diseases (CAE, CL, Jonnes), and are happy to say that for 16 years we continue to be a clean tested herd. We are happy to provide you with negative test results for either the goat you are purchasing or the dam and sire if you are purchasing a kid. 

We will not sale a goat that doesn’t have atleast one buddy to live with. Goats are herd animals and are not designed to live alone. They also need adequate nutrition ( hay/forage, loose minerals and fresh water), a 3 sided shelter from the elements, protection from predators (if not locked in a shelter at night), good fencing, and general maintenance, such as worming (when needed), and hoof trims. We breed with love and intention for our animals and will continue to be a source of support for you in your journey with any goat you purchase from us.

We reserve the right to keep any kid or cancel any sale at anytime.
